2. What were the causes for the Battle of Plassey? 

Answer:  The Battle of Plassey happened because the British disobeyed Nawab Siraj-ud-Daula by fortifying their base without his permission and misusing tax benefits. The Nawab also suspected that the British were plotting against him.
