JIMMY JET AND HIS TV SET

watched (वाच्ड) पाहिला, पाहिले

lean (लीन) काटकुळा

frozen (फ्रोझन) गोठलेला

bottom (बॉटम) बुड, तळ

chin (चिन) हनुवटी

turned (टर्नड) परिवर्तित झाली

TV tube – टी.व्ही.चा पडदा प्रकाशमान करणारी नळी

face (फेस) चेहरा

TV screen – टी.व्ही. चा पडदा

knob (नॉब) फिरवण्याजोगे कशाचेही बटन

vertical (व्हर्टिकल) उभे

horizontal (हॉरिझॉन्टल) आडवे

plug (प्लग) विजेचा प्लग

tail (टेल) शेपटी

around (अराऊंड) सभोवती

antennae – अँटेना

instead (इनस्टेड) .. च्या ऐवजी




A. As Jimmy Jet watched TV continuously, he developed parts of television
in place of organs of his body. Match the organs with the parts of TV.

growing from his hair.

2. According to the poet the TV makes a sound
when knobs are turned on or
off. Pick out the two sound words.

Ans: The two sound words are ‘VERT’ and ‘HORIZ’.

 

3. Do you think watching TV like Jimmy is good?
Discuss with your friends.

Ans: Answers may vary, but watching TV all the time like Jimmy may not be
good because it can make a person inactive and affect their health. It’s
important to balance TV time with other activities like playing outside,
reading, or spending time with family.

4. Which lines do you like very much? Why?

how Jimmy starts to transform into a TV, which is imaginative and funny.

5. Pick out the rhyming words from the poem
