Speech on National Science Day (28th February)
Good morning everyone,
Today, we are here to celebrate National Science Day, which is observed on 28th February every year in India. This day marks the discovery of the Raman Effect by Dr. C.V. Raman in 1928. His discovery helped us understand how light scatters, and for this, he won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.
Science plays a big role in our daily lives. From the electricity we use to the mobile phones we carry, everything is a gift of science. It helps us grow, solve problems, and make life better.
On this day, let’s remember our great scientists and their contributions. Let’s also encourage young minds to explore, ask questions, and find new ideas to make the world a better place.
Thank you!
