Speech on National Science Day (28th February)
Good morning everyone,
Today, we are gathered here to celebrate National Science Day, observed every year on 28th February. This day is special because it marks the discovery of the Raman Effect by the great Indian scientist Dr. C.V. Raman in 1928. For this discovery, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930, making India proud.
Science is all around us. From the electricity that lights up our homes to the mobile phones we use every day, everything is a gift of science. It helps us in medicine, technology, space exploration, and making our lives easier.
The theme of National Science Day changes every year, focusing on important scientific issues. The purpose of celebrating this day is to spread awareness about science and inspire young minds to explore new ideas and inventions.
As students, we should be curious and ask questions. Science grows when we think, experiment, and find solutions to problems. Who knows? Maybe one of us here will make a great discovery in the future!
Let us all take inspiration from scientists like Dr. C.V. Raman and work towards a better and brighter future with the help of science.
Thank you!
