Speech on Karnataka Rajyotsava Day – November 1
Good morning, respected teachers, and my dear friends,
Today, we have gathered here to celebrate Karnataka Rajyotsava, also known as Karnataka Formation Day, which is observed every year on November 1. This day marks the birth of our state, Karnataka, in the year 1956 when all Kannada-speaking regions were united to form one state.
Karnataka has a rich culture and heritage, known for its languages, art, music, and dance. It is home to great personalities like Dr. Rajkumar, Sir M. Visvesvaraya, and Kuvempu. Our state also has beautiful places such as Mysuru Palace, Hampi, and Coorg, which attract people from all over the world.
On this day, we remember the sacrifices made by leaders who fought to preserve our language and unity. Karnataka is not just known for its cultural heritage but also for its development in education, technology, sports, and agriculture. Bengaluru, our capital, is known as the Silicon Valley of India.
Rajyotsava teaches us the importance of unity and respect for our language and traditions. As students, we should feel proud of our heritage and work hard to contribute to the growth of Karnataka. Let us all stand together and celebrate our identity with love and respect for each other.
Happy Karnataka Rajyotsava to everyone!
Thank you.
