Speech on Karnataka Rajyotsava Day
Good morning respected teachers, principal, and my dear friends,
Today, I am happy to stand before you to speak about Karnataka Rajyotsava, which we celebrate every year on November 1st. This day is very special for all of us because it marks the formation of our beautiful state, Karnataka.
In 1956, all the Kannada-speaking regions were brought together to form the state of Karnataka. Earlier, it was called Mysore State, but in 1973, the name was changed to Karnataka. This day reminds us of our rich culture, language, and traditions.
Karnataka is known for its festivals, art, music, dance, literature, and natural beauty. From Hampi and Mysuru Palace to Jog Falls and Coorg, we have so much to be proud of! Kannada, our language, is one of the oldest languages and holds a special place in our hearts.
On this day, many cultural programs, flag hoisting, and award ceremonies are held to honor people who have contributed to the state. It is also a time to spread harmony, respect, and love for our state and language.
Let us all feel proud to be Kannadigas and promise to keep our state’s heritage alive. Together, let us work for the growth and unity of Karnataka.
Thank you, and I wish you all a Happy Karnataka Rajyotsava!
Jai Karnataka! Jai Hind!
