People walk on ‘pavements’ or
‘footpaths’ in the city.
4. How
should one cross the road?
Ans.-
First, we should wait till the road is
clear,then look to the right and to the left and to the right again. When the
road is clear, we should cross the road.
5. What is
a Zebra Crossing?
Ans.-
Zebra crossing is a place with the black
and white lines painted on it, to allow people to cross the road.
6. What do
the lights on the signal post indicate?
Ans.-
Red light signal says ‘STOP’,
Yellow says ‘GET READY’
and
green light says ‘GO’.
