Good morning to our respected teachers and dear friends. Today, we gather to celebrate Independence Day on the 15th of August. This day is special for us because, in 1947, our country gained freedom from British rule. This year, we celebrate our ……th Independence Day,a significant event for every Indian.
For many years, the people of India suffered under British rule. Today, we enjoy freedom in areas like education, sports, transportation, and business due to the hard work and sacrifices of our ancestors. Before 1947, people were not free and had no rights over their own bodies and minds. They were treated as slaves and had to obey the British orders. Our freedom today is a result of the relentless struggle by great Indian leaders.
Independence Day is celebrated with great joy across India. This day reminds us of the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives to give us a peaceful and prosperous nation. Before independence, people were denied education, healthy food, and a normal life. We must be grateful for the events that led to our freedom. The British treated Indians worse than slaves to meet their own ends.
Great freedom fighters like Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Jawaharlal Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Lala Lajpat Rai, Bhagat Singh, Khudiram Bose, and Chandrasekhar Azad dedicated their lives to India’s freedom. Their struggles are beyond our imagination. Today, our country is on the path of development and stands as a strong democratic nation. Mahatma Gandhi, with his principles of non-violence and Satyagraha, envisioned an independent India filled with peace.
India is our motherland, and we, its citizens, must always be ready to protect it. It is our duty to lead our country forward and make it the best in the world.
JAY HIND, JAY BHARAT!
