Speech on Karnataka Rajyotsava – November 1
Good morning everyone!
Today, I am here to speak about Karnataka Rajyotsava, celebrated every year on November 1. This special day is like the birthday of our Karnataka state. On this day in 1956, Karnataka was officially formed by bringing together regions that spoke Kannada. It became a proud home for all of us who love this language, culture, and heritage.
Karnataka is known for its rich culture, history, and achievements. From famous poets like Kuvempu to scientists like Sir M. Visvesvaraya, our state has given great minds to the world.
Here is a short poem:
“O Karnataka, land so grand, Where rivers, hills, and temples stand, With courage and knowledge, bright we stay, In unity, we move forward every day.”
On this day, we sing the state anthem “Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate”, which reminds us to respect and protect our land.
One famous quote about Karnataka says:
“Elladaru iru, entaadaru iru, endendigu nee Kannadavagiru.”
(Wherever you live, however you live, always be proud to be a Kannadiga.)
