1. What made the cat and the mouse live
happily?

Ans. –The cat and the mouse lived happily because they seldom crossed
each other’s path in the dense forest.

 Ans. –The cat was set
free by the mouse, who cut the net with his teeth to release the cat from the
trap set by the hunter.

4. Why did the mouse turn down the
proposal to be friends?

Ans. –The mouse turned down the proposal to be friends because he felt
that, due to his lower station or position, he could not be friends with the
cat-king. The mouse preferred to go his own way, and he advised the cat to do
the same.

5. What nature of the cat is revealed
in the story?

 Ans.
The nature of the cat revealed in the story is that the cat is cunning and
persuasive. The cat convinces the mouse to help him by giving his word that he
would not harm the mouse if released from the net. However, the cat’s true
nature is not trustworthy, as he initially intended to catch the mouse as prey.
